Propane for Restaurants & Food Service

From commercial ranges and fryers to water heaters and patio warmers — propane keeps Colorado kitchens running hot, fast, and reliably.

What We Fuel in Your Kitchen

Propane powers more commercial kitchen equipment than any other portable fuel. Here's where Brothers Propane fits into your operation.

Ranges, Grills & Broilers

Propane delivers instant, high-BTU heat — commercial range burners run at 30,000+ BTU each. Your kitchen fires up in seconds and cools down just as fast, reducing burn risk and energy waste.

Commercial Fryers

From 40 lb countertop units to 100 lb floor fryers, propane gets oil to temp faster and maintains it more consistently than electric — critical for high-volume kitchens with steady ticket flow.

Commercial Water Heating

Propane water heaters keep up with the dishwasher, three-compartment sink, and pot-fill faucet simultaneously. Tankless propane units provide unlimited hot water at sanitizing temperatures.

Dining Room & Patio Heat

Keep guests comfortable year-round. Propane unit heaters for enclosed dining rooms and propane patio heaters for outdoor seating let you extend your season and fill more covers.

Backup Power During Outages

When the grid goes down, a propane generator keeps your walk-in coolers, POS systems, and kitchen line running. You keep serving; your competition goes dark.

Catering & Food Trucks

Propane is the fuel of choice for mobile food service — instant ignition, precise control, and no grid hookup required. We supply cylinder exchanges and bulk fills for catering operations.

Why Food Service Pros Choose Propane

Professional chefs know: propane gives you immediate, precise heat that electric can't match. And unlike natural gas, propane travels with you — no pipeline, no utility hookup, no problem.

  • Propane burns 2× hotter per cubic foot than natural gas — less fuel, more output
  • No pipeline needed — runs anywhere, including rural locations off the gas main
  • Works during power outages, keeping your kitchen operational when competition goes dark
  • Propane burners ignite instantly and cut heat the moment you turn off the flame
  • Lower operating cost than electric for high-usage commercial kitchens
  • Complimentary safety inspection on every delivery

Common Questions About Commercial Propane

What areas do you serve?
We deliver propane to Elizabeth, Falcon, Peyton, Calhan, Simla, Eastonville, Monument, Larkspur, Black Forest, Sedalia, Ramah, Fondis, Comanche Creek, Franktown. Call (719) 660-6081 to confirm arrangements for your specific address and discuss driveway or access restrictions.
Is your emergency phone answered 24/7?
Yes. Our emergency phone is answered 24/7 at (719) 660-6081. Call to confirm delivery availability and arrangements for your location; phone answering does not guarantee immediate dispatch, same-day delivery or an arrival time. For a suspected gas leak, leave the affected area and call 911 from a safe location first.
What is the difference between will-call and automatic delivery?
Will-call means you monitor your own tank gauge and call us when you're ready for a fill — usually at 20–30%. Automatic delivery means we track your usage based on degree-days, weather data, and your delivery history, and we proactively schedule fills before you run low. Most rural customers on auto-delivery never have to think about propane at all.
How do I know what size tank I need?
Tank size depends on how many appliances run on propane and your home's square footage. Homes using propane only for cooking and water heating typically need a 120 or 250-gallon tank. Homes using propane for whole-house heating need a 500 or 1,000-gallon tank. Agricultural and commercial accounts often run 1,000-gallon or larger setups. We offer free site assessments to help you choose the right size.
Do you lease tanks or do I have to buy one?
We offer both. Leasing is often the most cost-effective starting point — we cover maintenance and repairs. If you prefer to own your tank, we can install it and fill it. We'll walk through the pros and cons with you based on your situation.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the property immediately. Don't flip any light switches, use your phone inside, or create any sparks. Once outside and safely away, call 911 if the smell is strong, then call Brothers Propane at (719) 660-6081. Do not re-enter until emergency responders have cleared the building.
