Agricultural Propane Services

Fueling the farms and ranches of Elbert and El Paso counties.

Powering Local Agriculture

We understand that in agriculture, timing is everything. Whether you need fuel for crop drying in the fall, heating for livestock barns in the dead of winter, or fuel for irrigation engines, Brothers Propane has the volume and the fleet to keep your farm running.

Prepare an Agricultural Fuel Request

Match the request to the equipment and season

Agricultural fuel needs can differ between buildings, production equipment and seasonal work. List the actual propane-powered equipment on the property instead of estimating from acreage alone. Explain which uses are essential to operations and which are occasional. Equipment documentation and past invoices can be more useful than a general description such as farm heating.

Use the commercial propane services category to distinguish agricultural requests from other business uses. If the job concerns a larger storage or recurring supply arrangement, compare the bulk propane delivery page. A large requested volume does not automatically establish truck access or equipment suitability.

Give dispatch a usable site description

Identify each tank, its owner, capacity if known, approximate level and the equipment it supplies. Explain whether deliveries must avoid livestock movements, loading activity or specific operating hours. Give gate and contact instructions directly to the supplier rather than posting private access codes publicly.

Discuss the route to the tank, including muddy surfaces, temporary fencing, overhead obstacles or equipment parked near the fill point. The supplier needs to confirm safe access; do not assume a truck can use the same route as a tractor. Agree how an inaccessible delivery will be handled before a time-sensitive operation depends on the fuel.

Plan costs and contingencies around the actual operation

Ask how order size, frequency, tank ownership and any disclosed delivery or service charges affect the quotation. Discuss seasonal peaks early and confirm a delivery window rather than treating a future fuel request as reserved capacity. Keep an alternate operating plan for weather or access interruptions; this page is not a promise of emergency availability.

Follow equipment manufacturers' instructions and use qualified professionals for gas-system alterations. A fuel delivery does not diagnose a burner, regulator or ventilation problem. Review propane system basics to understand the components, then use the service overview to find the appropriate next step.

To discuss your property, call (719) 660-6081. Confirm availability, the quoted scope and any applicable terms directly. The contact page also lists the existing email option and the details to have ready.

Prepare an Agricultural Fuel Request: Questions

Can one request cover several farm tanks?
Provide a separate description and level for each tank and confirm whether they can be included in one appointment. The supplier must review access, tank ownership and the proposed order.
Does acreage determine the tank size I need?
No. Connected equipment, consumption, peak demand and the desired delivery interval matter. A qualified assessment is needed before selecting or modifying storage.
Should I share livestock or loading schedules?
Yes. Explain access restrictions and identify a site contact who can resolve gate or route questions. Agree the delivery arrangements without assuming a particular truck can enter the property.
Is a propane delivery also an equipment service visit?
Do not assume that it is. Describe any equipment fault separately and ask what assistance is available. Gas-system and appliance work should be handled by qualified professionals.
